New spring books at Edmonton Green Library

Spring is here, and with it comes renewal and everything new. Edmonton Green Library is no exception to this, as we’ve been in the middle of new programming, initiatives, and books!

Our library team has processed a number of exciting new reads for the very young to the very old. Here, we highlight a few of the different books that have been added to our library over the last few days.

Picture book: Lots of Dots

Aimed at young children, this books tells the story of Leopard and Ladybug. Together, they hope to start a dotsy club, but they realise many of their animal friends don’t have dots! Can they form a club where all their animal friends can participate?

Junior fiction: Dragonracers

This fantasy adventure book, perfect for your children who are reading chapter books, follow the adventure of Kitty and her brother. When a strange egg they find hatches into a dragon, Kitty raises him and rides on his back as he grows up. With her dragon by her side, can she fulfil her lifelong dream of participating in the world’s first long-distance air race?

Teen fiction: Immortality: A Love Story

The sequel to the popular Anatomy: A Love Story, Immortality finds Hazel alone without Jack. After being arrested, she takes up the opportunity to be Princess Charlotte’s personal doctor to avoid charges. As Hazel discovers forces that threaten immortality within the palace, Jack searches to cure his immortality so he can be by Hazel’s side again.

Adult fiction: The Man I Met on Holiday

Determined to go on one last holiday with her son Charlie before he goes to university, Lauren find herself on her own when he refuses to spend time together. Instead, she shares a magical holiday with James, a man in a similar situation with his daughter. When the holiday ends, can they and their children cope with real life and make their romance work?

Thriller: 23rd Midnight

James Patterson’s latest crime novel tells the gripping tale of a copycat killer determined to copy the crimes of jailed serial killer Evan Burke’s murders. Detective Lindsey Boxer and reported Cindy Thomas, who were instrumental in finding Burke and making him famous, must now find the new suspect before it’s too late.
